This body of work represents a small segment of places I have lived and seen. Each piece reflects the "rustic realities" of primarily northeastern Lamar and Red River counties of Texas that have impacted my art from the beginning and continue to have a voice in the present. Some are truer "realities" forged from memory and daily life while others are places in which I was only briefly acquainted. Color and composition are constant guides while texture remains my native muse.
